Scratch Orchestra Reenactment, 2008

The Re-enactment was a collaborative performance/happening loosely based on a rehearsal by the "Scratch Orchestra," a Marxist orchestra founded in 1969 by composers Cornelius Cardew, Michael Parsons and Howard Skempton. Participants came in response to open invitations to musicians and non-musicians that were posted around the city. The event was hosted by the Brown University music department, November 22, 2008.

A new project based on this performance is currently in progress. See the full project website HERE.
